Can I use funds from my NDIS Plan?
Circa is not a registered NDIS service provider. You can still access our services using funds from your NDIS Plan. You will need to have a Plan Manager or be Self Managing your Plan. If you are Agency Managed through the NDIS Portal, please contact us for alternative arrangements once you have completed your booking

What to wear?
Please wear comfortable, form-fitting clothing that you can move around in (i.e. shorts, exercise clothes, track pants, singlet or t-shirt). No overly loose clothing that we will go over your head when you go upside down. We ask that you remove all jewellery before class begins. We recommend pants that cover the knees and to bring along a long-sleeved shirt. It is preferred that you work without shoes and socks in the studio.
There will be a place for all bags to the side of the studio.
Please bring a drink bottle with you – we have a kitchenette where you can refill it. A towel is recommended during the warm seasons. Food is not permitted in the studio. Chewing of gum is not permitted during class.
What to expect?
At the start of session, all participants and facilitators will begin with a check-in circle, introducing ourselves, exploring the interests of the group and talking about what we will be learning and creating.
You will notice underfoot the floor is soft (acrobatic mat/tumble run) with a smooth finish (dance floor), this is for maximum comfort when rolling, tumbling and moving in circus ways.
Before any physical activity we will always do a warm-up and stretch to prepare our bodies for circus training and for injury prevention.
Over the four week program you will have the opportunity to try out a range of different circus forms. Some of these may include object manipulation (juggling, hula-hooping, spinning plates), acrobatics (handstand progressions, tumbling movement and partner acro-balance) and aerials (hammock, lyra, silks, trapeze).
Alongside these technical skills you will also be exploring your creativity and how these forms can express meaning.
