What happens when time bends, loops and unravels under stage lights?
Circus Obscura 2026 directed by Head of Academy Vanessa McGregor, explores time as both a physical experience and an idea. Through acrobatics, aerial work, juggling, and movement, performers stretch, slow, and fracture time, shifting between moments of stillness and intensity. This year’s performance includes guest performers, bringing new skills and perspectives that expand the way time is explored on stage.
Family and friends are warmly invited to come support and be inspired our young performers.

Frequently Asked Questions
I’m a Performance participant. Where can I find more information?
There is a participant information site with further information that has been sent to all participants.
Can I park?
There are some paid parking options in Fortitude Valley and very limited street parking so we do suggest taking public transport to the Judith Wright Arts Centre.
The closest train station to the Judith Wright Centre is Fortitude Valley Station. We are a four-block walk heading towards the New Farm end of Brunswick Street from this Station. There are also many bus routes that travel Brunswick Street. See Translink for further details.
Can I take photos or film the show?
For the comfort of our other audience members we ask that you do not record the performance. A recording and photos of the performance will be made available to participants, parents and guardians post performance.
