Are there any prerequisites?

Circa Academy has programs for everyone and there are no prerequisites for beginner aerials or our beginner youth classes.

If you have prior circus, dance or gymnastics experience you are welcome to consider our intermediate programs. You should be able to invert, knee hang and connect multiple skills to join Aerial Nights – Intermediate Mixed. You should to be able to invert, climb and hip lock comfortably to join Intermediate Silks.

If you have trained in specific apparatus, acrobatics or other physical languages you are welcome to consider advanced programs. If you can link skills into a routine with good form Advanced Aerials may be for you.

We recommend taking our Aerial Nights or Youth Circus programs to an intermediate level, or having prior circus training, before joining Performance.

Please get in touch at academy@nullcirca.org.au if you have any questions.
