Circa is delighted to announce the launch of Circa Academy. From January 2023, it will offer exceptional training programs with one of the world’s leading circus companies.
Spanning from early childhood play to pre-professional development, Circa Academy programs build physical and creative skills in a safe, non-competitive environment with some of Australia’s best trainers.
By asking “what is possible in circus?” Circa has created a suite of award-winning productions seen by over 1.5 million people across 42 countries. We bring this curiosity, expertise and daredevilry to Circa Academy – making circus experiences available to everyone.
In 2023 Circa Academy will offer four Aerial Nights each week for adults, with courses from beginner to advanced across silks, trapeze, straps and lyra. Weekends will see Youth Circus allowing young participants of all skill levels to discover their superpowers.
For those aged 18 months to 4 years Storytime brings together storytelling and circus adventure with creative physical play. Circa Academy’s flagship program is Performance, an elite stream dedicated to excellence in circus training, creation and performance. Forming ensembles that create and present live works across Brisbane and beyond, the Performance participants will experience circus festivals, training projects and collaborations.
