Circa is pleased to announce a new three-year partnership with Flying Fruit Fly Circus to present the annual National Training Project (NTP) – a training intensive designed specifically for anyone serious about a career in circus, or a chance for those already working in the industry to improve and refine their skills. The NTP has become an established fixture on the Australian circus calendar and attracts circus practitioners from all over the country.
Over two weeks in Albury NSW, the NTP provides an extraordinary opportunity to be trained and inspired by internationally renowned trainers in the Flying Fruit Fly Circus’ award-winning training facility and in the company of like-minded artists.
“Circa is committed to developing pathways to foster the next generation of circus artists and as part of this we are delighted to partner with the National Youth Circus to co-present the National Training Project. This opportunity for emerging artists to work with and learn from leading industry professionals including Circa’s Head of Circus Rowan Heydon-White, will create a lasting legacy and contribute to the future of our artform.” Yaron Lifschitz, Circa Artistic Director.
“Flying Fruit Fly Circus and Circa have enjoyed a long history with multiple Fruit Fly alumni making the journey to Circa over the years, and continuing to do so. This new partnership will bring a fresh dynamic to the NTP with Circa’s training and creative input adding to familiar elements of the program and providing a renewed industry focus.” Richard Hull, FFFC CEO
