This specialist class for ground acrobats is ideal for those with a good grasp on the basics who want to hone their craft.
Building functional strength and movement patterns, you will have the opportunity to deepen your knowledge and extend your skill sets in handbalancing, flow tumbling and dynamic tumbling.
Intro to Ground Circus
This class is the perfect place to begin your circus journey. Intro to Ground Circus takes you on an introductory journey through all ground-based circus disciplines including handstands, partner acrobatics, tumbling, hula hooping and juggling.
Our supportive trainers will guide you through foundational skills at a pace that suits you to build strength and confidence.
Taught by straps specialist Maddison Costello, this highly technical and strength based class is perfect for the skilled aerialist looking for a challenge.
Intermediate Silks 1 & 2
Take your aerial skills to the next level and build expertise and practice in silks. A specialised trainer will provide a broad repertoire of higher level skills to support you in developing your own sequences and act creation.
Intro to Aerials
Take flight as you enter the wonderful world of aerials! This class provides a safe and enjoyable environment where you can master the basics of aerials, no previous experience necessary.
Get a feel for being in the air and build your confidence on a range of core apparatus including trapeze, lyra (aerial ring) and silks (tissu).
Continue your aerials journey on core apparatus such as silks, lyra and trapeze. Over 10 weeks, this class will build upon your foundational skills as you discover which aerial apparatus is the best fit for you.
For the aerialist who wants to excel. Taught by Circa’s most experienced aerial trainers, this class supports you in developing high level skills, act creation and tools for training autonomously as an artist.
Take your aerial skills to the next level and build expertise and practice in lyra. A specialised trainer will provide a broad repertoire of higher level skills to support you in developing your own sequences and act creation.

Open Training gives you access to our studio at The Judith Wright Arts Centre to practice your skills outside of class.
These classes are open to all participants aged 16+ who are currently enrolled in Circa Classes. For Beginners we ask that you complete one full term before booking into Open Training.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own equipment. If you need to borrow equipment from Circa, please submit your request at the time of booking for each session.
This casual class is supervised however there is no formal teaching aspect.
Partner and Group Acrobatics
This highly specialised class will excite and engage acrobats with a passion for partner and group acrobatics.
Build strength, develop trust and learn new skills across different types of static and dynamic acrobatics from toss, pyramids, columns, banquine and more!
This open level class is suitable for absolute beginners to experienced acrobats aged 12 – 17.
Exploring acrobatics, aerials, tumbling, hula hoops, juggling and so much more, this is the perfect class to learn how to move, climb and fly and with other teens.
Designed for little ones to explore the wonderful world of circus. Through aerials, tumbling, mini tramp, hula hoops and more, this hour long class introduces your budding acrobats to circus while fostering creativity and developing strength and coordination.
This class is suitable for young people aged 4-7.
Designed for newcomers to circus, Beginner Youth provides the essential foundations of circus. Learn how to tumble, fly, climb and spin while making new friends, developing strength and coordination and most importantly, having fun!
This class is suitable for young people aged 6-14.
Dive deeper into circus with Intermediate Youth. Develop your passion for movement while exploring tumbling, acrobatics, aerials, hula hooping and more. Discover new skills and learn how to test your limits in a safe environment, both as an individual and a team.
This class is best suited to young people aged 6– 14 with well executed forward rolls and cartwheels.
Fostering creativity and problem-solving skills, Advanced Youth will extend and build towards higher level skills in tumbling, handstands, acrobatics, aerials and manipulation. This class can also provide a pathway to our youth performance programs – Zoolings and Circa Zoo.
This class is best suited to young people aged 6 – 14 with well executed round offs and handstands.
