About the position
Working with Artistic Director Yaron Lifschitz and our executive team, the Director of International Development combines superlative interpersonal skills with a deep love of Circa’s work. Both right and left brain are required as creative envisaging, strategic development and new show dreaming jostle for your attention with budgets, schedules and logistics.
Underneath your calm and delightful exterior you have a hide of steel. Your dogged perseverance and a Trojan work ethic are supported by savage attention to detail; yet you never lose sight of the big picture. Your understanding of all aspects of theatrical production helps inform the major strategic directions you champion.You are a good listener and a fast learner who loves communicating with diverse stakeholders.
You have or can rapidly acquire a vast network of contacts across the arts and cultural sector. You are happy to work remotely; self-directed yet highly accountable. You have impeccable ethics.
Circa’s Director of International Development can be based anywhere in the world. Your working hours will be long but are flexible and international travel is required. Knowledge of French or languages in addition to English is an advantage. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and a love of creative problem solving are essential.
