PEEPING AT PEEPSHOW

From it’s world premiere in Lismore in March, and a sold-out season in Geelong this month, Peepshow has already performed to over 2000 audience members. We are so excited to announce the complete tour dates for Peepshow in 2018, which will see Circa touring back to some of our favourite locations including Darwin Entertainment Centre in Australia, Underbelly Festival Southbank in the UK, and the Chamäleon Theater in Germany.

WHAT IS PEEPSHOW?

Peepshow is a seductive dance through the hall of mirrors that is the imagination, and is created by circus visionary Yaron Lifschitz, alongside director Libby McDonnell and the Circa Ensemble.

Peepshow is about looking — about being seen,” says Lifschitz. “It’s playful, it’s funny, it’s a bit surreal, it’s a bit sexy — I hope that Peepshow is one of those shows which is able to transform people’s expectations, bringing us new sensibilities with unexpected pleasures, and bridges the world between art and entertainment.”

“Peepshow is the latest in Circa’s latest post-cabaret adventure. These take the form of cabaret and Circa’s medium of circus, add some extra ingredients (in Peepshow’s case a nightclub, a dream and ideas of looking) and shake. They shake so hard things break, stick together and turn wonderfully weird. The resulting cocktail is a fantasia designed to thrill and delight.”
